Thank you to Kendra for sharing this great tip on a dog-friendly organic cafe, Choco Canyon:
Like many places in Portland Chaco Canyon allow dogs with the “3 bark rule.” They don’t have any signage because they don’t want the Health Department to see. Healthy food and low key atmosphere.
That said, I checked with Chaco Canyon on Facebook and their official policy is no pets inside. They have a large patio that accommodates pets outside and allow service dogs inside. They stated:
When it comes to dogs we love them! We have a big outdoor area, which can accommodate guests and their animal family, both at West Seattle and in the U District. When it comes to inside our cafe, we follow all WA state laws with regards to service animals and accessibility; we happily allow service animals, but not pets inside of our restaurant. If you have any other questions just let us know.
After checking out the Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe on Yelp, it appears that the cafe has a nice neighborhood feel to it, and the food is fresh and delicious!
Look at all the healthy raw, organic and gluten-free options on the menu! All ingredients are vegan, though it sounds like meat lovers don’t even notice. Menu items are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I want this:
Also, they have beer, wine and … wait for it… Kombucha. (Shocker!)
