Our second stop in Walla Walla was at Bergevin Lane. Again, we were rushed, with only about 15 minutes or so until the tasting room closed. Still, Julie the tasting room manager accommodated us for tasting, and made us feel welcome.
The Bergevin Lanes tasting room is beautiful, and I wish we could have spent more time there. They are very dog-friendly too, allowing you to have your dogs off leash when the tasting room isn’t crowded.
Julie poured us five wines, including a white blend, a Malbec, a Merlot, a Syrah, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. We also tasted the 2008 Intuition Reserve (83% Cabernet). It was absolutely delicious, but at $55, it was unfortunately out of our price range.
We decided to purchase the 2012 She-Devil Syrah ($24). Julie graciously gave us a 20% “industry discount” and invited us to come back when we could have more time.
We left Bergevin Lane grateful for a good deal and an enjoyable, albeit brief, tasting experience.
